Now I don’t want to hear anyone saying – I can’t bake. This is an easy 3 ingredient – honestly, I would not lie – about food anyway, brownie that yields a pretty good end result. It has Nutella, eggs and flour. I know, I had you at Nutella! It’s one of those recipes that begs you to try it, and I did. I thought it would be perfect for all the spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, kids out there to make for their valentine. Heck, make it yourself for yourself – you don’t need to have someone make it for you!

It’s a recipe from the Epicurious website and when I saw it – I knew, like you – it has Nutella, how bad could it be?! But really, it was a good brownie. The timing of the bake is critical though. I kept checking every 5 minutes after the 15 minute mark, just a feeling – 3 ingredients after all. I used some heart shaped baking tins I picked up last Valentine’s Day in a clearance aisle at Loblaw’s. I love getting a bargain on seasonal items and I find some really good buys at the grocery stores that carry this kind of thing. So check out your local grocery store after a special day or just go out and buy them. You won’t use them or find uses for them, unless you have them!

My wife – like most people, loves chocolate and more importantly, loves desserts. So what better way for me to keep winning her heart than with Nutella flavored brownies? Rich, dense and moist! Serve it with some fresh whipped cream, French Vanilla Ice Cream, Raspberry sauce heck – anything you like really. Plate it simply, say “I love you”, and share with your valentine. Oh, to say this was incredibly delicious with more Nutella spread on top would be an understatement!

Win her heart, his heart, or their hearts, with this beautiful 3 ingredient recipe! As always – enjoy! Happy Valentine’s Day Hon! Mine, not just today, but every day!

2 eggs
1 ¼ cup Nutella
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt (no smarty pants, this does not count as an ingredient!)

Pre-heat your oven to 350f
In your processor, using the whisk attachment – beat the eggs until combined
Spray a measuring cup with cooking spray or butter the container, and scoop out 1 ¼ cup of Nutella – too much came out – oh my goodness whatever will I do with the 4 teaspoons I individually took out of the jar trying to get the right amount – 4 times 😉
Add the Nutella to the eggs and whisk for about 1 minute until combined
Add the flour and on low speed combine – scrape the sides of the bowl as necessary
Spray the 8×8 tin or your heart shaped tins – I got 4 heart shaped brownies from this quantity and my tins are 5”x5” – and pour the batter into the container and spread to smooth out
Bake for 25 minutes – if you are using a shaped tin, check at 20 minutes using a toothpick
